Days in the Life

English veterans march in formation, wearing suits and derbies while clutching umbrellas as a Bobby looks on
Old Comrades-in-Arms... Only in England would men parade in crisp suits, derby hats and ties in regimental colors, clutching smart, black umbrellas in the stead of the fiercer weapons they once carried. Although my immediate reaction was a smile at the cultural stereotype, that quickly gave way to respect as I recognized the immense pride and dignity with which these veterans marched.
